How much does a mobile notary cost in California?
California law caps the notary fee at $15 per signature notarized. A mobile notary also charges a travel fee, which is separate, negotiable and must be disclosed to you before the appointment. In Southern California that travel fee usually runs $25-$75 depending on distance and time of day.
What ID do I need?
A current government-issued photo ID — California driver's license or ID card, a US or foreign passport, military ID, or another ID accepted under California Civil Code 1185. The name on your ID must match the name on the document.
How fast can a notary come to me?
Same-day is normal across most of Southern California if you call in the morning. Use the “Available today” filter on the browse page, and call rather than email when it is urgent.
Do you charge me anything?
